Grace, Part 1

Rev. James Allen
Rev. James C. Allen

We have come through another year, and it has been a year of promise. We are looking to another year for a year of promise, but not as the government would like to make you think. How can a government really survive, that is so down on the little nation of Israel? I know there a lot of things wrong in Israel, but I also know that there is a God that has His hand upon her, to cleanse her from that which is wrong and put a leadership in there that is going to have a backbone, instead of a wishy washy way, that nobody can depend upon for leadership. I have a subject this morning, that I feel is really one of the most important subjects I have ever preached on. It is different, but I feel that by the time we get through with it, there will be some things changed in our lives, in Faith Assembly; and around the world. I was talking to Bro. Anfinnes from Norway yesterday, he was wanting to thank each one of you people for remembering him, and also for being a part of this assembly, because he said he believed everything that is being preached, and that he is looking forward to hearing it when I told him the subject I would be on. He said he would be looking forward to it. The subject subtitle is Grace. I know I mentioned this weeks ago, when really I had not gone very far in the Millennial message at that time, but I said after it was finished, that I did not know it would be finished in time to start this new year, but I am kind of glad it is. We are starting another year, but we are not making any new year’s resolutions on anything. They say that most peoples’ resolutions are broken within a few weeks. It is hard to for people that do not have any hope in God to keep promises. A lot of people would like to quit drinking, I know that, but then the bottle gets too tempting for them. Smoking is another thing people will make new year’s resolutions on. It is another thing that is just hard to stop, especially for people that do not have the will of God taking first place in their lives. I could go into different things that people make resolutions on, but I do not want to do that this morning. I really feel that as we have these scriptures here before us, we are living in a time frame, that within the next few months, and I do not mean to put a date on it, but I say that within the next few months we are going to see some things happening in our midst that we had not expected. I am believing that, and as Bro. Bud gave testimony this morning, when he first got up here and told about “The Greatest Battle Ever Fought,” which was a subject of Bro. William Branham’s, just a year before I moved there, and that got a lot of people thinking. I have heard many people talk about that, the greatest battle ever fought, and that it is really a battle of the mind. That is because, even though we do not have a willingness, we many times have a desire, but if we do not have a willingness to follow up on our desire, then it is all in vain. God is going to put a desire into us. I say that because I believe there are many among us, even this morning, that are looking for something to happen in their lives that is going to establish them in the time that we are living in, because of the hunger and thirst they have. I remember the subject Bro. William Branham preached on, the hunger and thirst, and he said this, if there is a thirst, there has to be something that will quench that thirst. If there is a hunger, there has to be something that will quench that hunger. Never have I been guilty of saying that what Bro. William Branham preached was old food. It is all in knowing how to apply it. Never did I say that what Bro. Jackson preached was something of yesterday, and that it is not to be taken heed to. I appreciate what my brother taught us, but I do know that God has shown us a few things in these last days and hours of time that takes you back to the Word of God which both our brothers spoke of, that we all have to get back into the Word. That is the most important thing in the message, in the time we live in, is to get us back into God’s Word, and I mean the revelation of the Word, not just the letter of it, because as Paul said, the letter killeth, but the Spirit maketh alive. Without the Spirit of God in us we cannot receive a true revelation from His Word

PREVIEW OF THIS
MESSAGE

These are some of the things that I am going to be talking about in this message. I do not know how long it will take, I am not in any hurry to finish it, but whatever it takes, and however long it lasts is OK. When I hear of little children, that something has happened in their lives that they cannot explain, but they have felt the presence of God in their lives, it lets me know that God is able to deal with little children at a young age. If He is going to deal with little children, He is also going to deal with adults. This thing of listening to everybody’s ideas and trying to find ideas to listen to, is a thing of the past, because ideas are not truth. Truth will take you back to the Word, if you are reading something and you cannot prove it by the Word, then it is better just to let it go. I know there have been preachers in the past who have studied every book they could, trying to find something to preach on that would be something new. Much of that kind of stuff will take you from the Word, because it is not really glorifying God, when someone is trying to find out something that is other mens’ ideas. I am not talking about myself, but I am saying that if I am just going on ideas and opinions, it is best not to pay any attention to it. If you cannot find it in the God’s Word, forget it. I wonder how many preachers are willing to say that in this hour of time, that are supposedly in this message, if it is not in the word, forget it. If you cannot take it back and trace it into the Word, then it is not really anything that is going to benefit you. Do not ever try to regrow last years corn crop again: it will not work. You can take all the fertilizer that you have and put it on those old dead stalks, but you will not get a grain of corn from it. The only way you will, is if some have fallen off into the ground, if you fertilize that, that part will grow, but not that stalk. That stalk has already fulfilled its purpose. Who is willing to say that all of Martin Luther’s message was wrong, he said the just shall live by faith. That is prevalent today. Wesley said, without holiness, no man shall see the Lord. How many are willing to say that this is wrong? That is exactly right. These men poured their hearts out into what God has showed them. So did Bro. William Branham. Who is willing to say that his serpent seed teaching is wrong? Or that the seals teaching is wrong? Or that the church ages are wrong, or that Predestination is wrong? Eternal security teaching, is that wrong? Election, is that wrong? There is a whole line of things that God spoke to that man and others, that cannot be denied. I can remember the time Brother Branham called a prayer line, and people lined up from one side of the church all the way around. He knew he did not have time to make long prayers over every one of them. I saw people that walked by and all he said was Lord, bless my brother. Lord, bless my sister. That is all he had time for. There was healing that took place though. Some of you people were there, I know Sis. Gayle told me that one time she was there, and she gave a seat to me and one of my sons. She was just a young girl. Her mom and dad had brought the children there. There are other people here that know all about what went on in those meetings. After about an hour, after people walked around, the only person that ever stopped him was one woman that grabbed him around the neck, because she thought she would get more by grabbing him around the neck. Somebody asked Sis. Mede after it was over, what Bro. William Branham thought. She said, he was embarrassed. I do not know if that woman ever got anything or not. You do not get what you want by trying to make a preacher more than what he is. God is the one that is the healer. Many times I saw him standing there, waiting, talking to somebody, and you would think, when is he going to pray for that person? He would usually say, I am waiting on the angel of the Lord. After a few minutes he would start to pray for people. He would tell them the secrets of their heart, tell them where they lived, tell them to go home, that they were made well. I knew some of those people that were healed. I remember one time he was preaching after he had been hunting. Some of the deacons had gone with him. He asked them after he had talked to them, is that right? I better not mention names, but I remember them holding up their hands, saying that was true. But not a one of them went on to follow God, because they were following that man instead of God. They would not like that if they heard it, but that is the truth. Back here, eight or nine years ago, I came in the back door, and Bro. Jackson said, do you remember these men, there were about three or four of them there. He asked the one man who was a deacon, I had even eaten at his house, he asked this one deacon, do you know who this is? He was talking about me. The man said, No, I don’t believe I do. He said, this is Bro. Allen. Oh yes, I remember, I just heard him talk about Bro. Allen the other day on a tape. So they have kept the tapes up to date. But I tell you, the message is still alive today. I do not go into this message lightly this morning. I wanted you to have time to copy down the scriptures, because I know it is important. It is important to people to have them to study later.

WITHOUT FAITH, WE
CANNOT PLEASE GOD

The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. I want to go to Genesis, chapter 6 this morning. I am going to read the background of what I want to talk about, beginning in the 1st verse, to see what was going on in that hour, so you will know what I am talking about. “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God (These sons of God were men that should have known better. But it said, the sons of God, that would be Adam’s line, not the line of Cain, but of Adam’s line. These others (the daughters of men) are of the line of Cain.) saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.” Before that God had a choice in their affairs. Now it has come down to the time that they married whoever they chose, which takes them over into another line of people, into an altogether different category of human flesh. That is all it was, human flesh. These daughters of men, not a one of them were believers, not one of them acknowledged God. So in order to get into that line, they had to break the promise of God. Look what they did, it became a lust thing. The sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were fair. They were fleshly, they were the Hollywood type, hardly had a stitch of clothes on them. They took wives of all which they chose. “And the Lord said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.” That is how long God was giving them. That is how long God gave Noah to build an ark for safety. “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, (That proves right there that it did not start with Cain. Some preachers have the idea this did start with Cain, that this was the curse.) and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” Intelligent, scientific, worldly. We do not know how far that thing went in that day and hour, we do not know how far it went before God let them learn of His mind about their ways. “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” What a day in time that was. We read in Luke where it says, as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man, that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart, (worldly mankind) was only evil continually. Only evil continually, think about that. It is hard to turn on the television without seeing that kind, if it is not in the program you are watching, then they inject it into the commercials. In about every commercial, somebody is dancing and twisting their body. They show a commercial of a new car, and there you see women, twisting their bodies like snakes, like serpent seed would. The imagination of their hearts, of the thoughts of the heart, are only evil continually. This is what came from the sons of God and daughters of men when they mixed. (The sons of Adam’s line and the daughters of Cain’s line) There is nothing ever said as long as each side kept to themselves. God knew what was over there, because He had separated Cain from the rest of them in the beginning. “And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him in His heart.” We are talking about God now. He was grieved with that generation of human flesh, grieved in His heart. God does not see beauty in the foolishness of people and things that glorify the flesh, because as He did then, He is going to put an end to this thing in His time. Think about it. I was thinking about this the other day, that this earth has been here billions of years. The animal kingdom, that at one time before God cursed this thing, bones that are millions of years old, that are laying in the crust of the earth from God’s cursing this kind of thing before. But brothers and sisters, we are living at the end of all this. Think about it. Because He said there would be a generation, and He gave us indications about that generation, and we are that generation. There is no doubt in my mind that we are the last generation that will ever see this side of the Millennium. But there is a better day coming, and God has been waiting all these years, in order to make this thing perfect.

WHAT IS JUST AHEAD

Of course we everyone know the Millennium will be a thousand years, and after that another judgment; and when that is all over, whatever is still alive goes into complete perfection. He has given us a chance to be a part of that perfection. It is ours. “And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; (He had created the animal kingdom back before man was ever put upon this earth. I do not believe the animal kingdom was always so large, but the devil got in there with his ambitions. Whenever he gets into anything, then he tries to make it larger and larger. He even works to make sin bigger and bigger. God said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth. God did not need anybody to counsel with, He counseled with Himself.) both man, and beast, and the creeping things, and the fowls of the air( were destroyed); for it repenteth me (God said) that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Something had been lost. The grace that was upon Enoch was gone. The grace of God that brought Adam into the world was gone. It did not just happen all at once, that Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. There had to be something inside him from his very beginning that was manifested in his life. He had seen all the evil and all that was going on, he just could not stomach it. He waited until he was five hundred years old before he ever had a child. Then he had three sons. When the three sons were born, God had already spoken to him. He had told him, build an ark of gopher wood. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Grace, the word grace is freely given, unmerited favor and love of God. We do not earn that. It is a gift, the condition of being in God’s favor, or one of the elect. I am glad there was a man named Noah Webster that was able to take some words and look at them in the right way. “These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man (we have words that are related, grace and just) and perfect in his generations, (plural) and Noah walked with God.” God is looking for somebody today that is willing to walk with Him, because Paul said without faith it is impossible to please Him. There are a lot of things he had to shovel out, one man with one message. There are not two scriptural messages as I speak this morning. There is not a multiple choice. We must know what we believe and why we believe it, and we must anchor our very soul in it. I started to say life, but we must anchor our very soul on that belief. Because we are the last generation, a generation that is getting ready to leave here very soon. Praise God, it is not as long as it has been. Some may think it can be another fifty years. It cannot be. You have already passed the generation Jesus spoke of when you think like that, because man is not living two hundred years anymore. As Jesus said in the book of Luke, that generation shall not pass until all is fulfilled. I was thinking, as everybody was celebrating the falling of the ball at midnight last night, about all of this. I was in bed when it fell. I did not see it fall. I did not say I was asleep, but I was in bed. I am thankful to God though, that He has given us another year to live in. We cannot change that. I know the Jewish new year is already in focus, it has already started. They are about to the end of that year and it will start again somewhere in the first of April or last of March. But here we are in the year 2012 already, I wonder what it is going to turn into, as people are looking toward the presidential election. There is not much to look forward to. The only way this nation survives is God’s judgment, because it has already sunk too far. If this be the nation, which we believe it is, where Israel will flee to in the middle of the seventieth week of Daniel, speaking of that woman of Revelation 12, if this be the place, then something has to happen here in this country very soon. You say, well you are not giving us very much hope. I am saying this today, as Bro. William Branham said, if you are going to plant potatoes, plant them. You will not know the day when the rapture is coming. The Bible proves that, Jesus said, two will be in the field, one will be taken and one will be left. Two will be in the bed, one will be taken and one will be left. That shows us, that when the rapture takes place, it is going to be a world wide thing, because I know Australia was fifteen hours ahead of us when the new year came. It is already dark over there, it is already dark in the Philippines. There are people that are watching us on the internet: they are depending upon what we have to say and what we are teaching. Bro. Anfinnes said, we will be watching. They do, even though they have snow, they will be watching. Most of them live in the community surrounding. For those who are seeking the truth of God’s Word, He always makes it possible for them to receive it.

THERE HAS ALWAYS
BEEN SCOFFERS

We are talking about Noah right now. One man with one message. He was a preacher of righteousness. Think how graceful his message was in that hour, unto a people that did not care how they lived or how they dressed or what they looked like. Noah did not look too good himself at times, but he believed God’s Word to him. He worked faithfully on what he was told to do, build an ark. When he got up in the morning. He was probably still tired from the day before. His body was worn from all the hard labor he had put into building that ark. Sometimes it was probably hard to get that tar off his hands, that pitch. If you have ever worked around stuff like that, when you get into it, it is hard to get it off of your hands. Many days he preached to people, and his message was not necessarily that of getting out and witnessing, because he was working. Some would come by and ask him, what are you doing old man? I am building an ark. What are you building an ark for? For the saving of my house. Oh phooey on you old man! That is how unbelievers are. Paul, when he was called and put in Nero’s prison, it said that people would come by to see him. Some of them listened, but some of them departed when he said one word. It was not necessarily that he said Hi, but he began to preach to them about Jesus Christ. I say to you, those of you that think Jesus is not so important for this last day message, you do not have any message acceptable to God. You are ignorant of true revelation. You have lost your share of God’s grace. You have lost your fellowship with God, if Jesus Christ is not your main subject now. We are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God. Jesus was God’s gift. “These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.” He lived six hundred years before the flood. His generations, everybody that came along, whatever time changed, he did not change. It does not say he started walking with God when he was five hundred years old, or not hardly that old, he was perfect in his generations. When he got older, that old man did not change, only the time has changed. Some think you have to change with time. That is nonsense. You do not travel in a horse drawn buggy now. I remember when many people had buggies. I remember when most of the farmers had horses. That is the way they did their farming, from the plowing to the cultivating, they used horses or mules. During World War Two, nobody had gas to run a tractor, and very few people had a tractor to put gas in. In 1946 my dad bought a John Deere tractor. It was good to hear that putt-putt, putt-putt. It sounded good going through the field because you were not walking behind horses or mules. Horses were mostly retired in their old age. Noah saw a lot of changes in his hour, but he still had one message and he still had an old piece of wood out there to beat on. Because God said that is the way to build it, and no matter how modern everything else got, he did not change his mind. He was not looking for an easy way out, nor any watered down message. Noah was just and perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. You think you have opposition? What about that old man? He had nobody to stand with him for a long time. The only thing he had was God. Bro. William Branham said, if you have God, you are a majority. God and one is a majority. The Bible says that Noah condemned the world. “And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.” Look at the whole world out here today. Look at this Muslim situation they think is so great. Look at the Sodomite situation in this hour of time. They think it is so great. They are elevating it to be something, when God’s Word says it is all bound for hell, for the lake of fire. When Paul was preaching the gospel, which I will get into in this message, the Lord willing, Paul did not always look so good. Many times he had beaten places on his head. People had thrown rocks at him, they beat him with rods. “And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.” He said all flesh. They were not all as mean as some of them were, some of them were meaner than the devil. Man can get that way, because, even though the devil is chained up during the Millennium, yet you will have mean people because of genetics. It is their choice to be mean.

WE EVERYONE
MAKE CHOICES

We have choices in this life; and especially in the day that we live in. We have choices in the natural, as well as in spiritual things. If you do not like McDonald’s, you can go down the road to Burger King. If you don’t like that, go on down to Wendy’s. If you don’t like that, go to Long John Silvers’ or Captain D’s. Those things are not going to make you righteous or unrighteous. Eat too much of any of it, and it will make you unhealthy, but it still does not condemn you. Grace, the condition of being in God’s favor, as God’s elect it is an unmerited gift. The only election I am concerned about is the election of God. Sure, if we have a choice between two people and one of them is a little better than the other, I will make that choice. But if they are no different, one from another, I can just stay at home on election day. I have a choice. I am neither Democrat or Republican, when it comes down to living, I am a child of God, and I am going to make my choices based upon that. There are people that will vote one way, no matter what. Well, my dad did that, they will say. Who cares what your dad did? What will you do, as a responsible person? “And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them.” God had one man He could talk to. I remember there was a message that came, it had been tested through time. From the early 1930’s it had been tested, the man gave a lot for his belief. In 1946 God began to elevate His man. Because God had told him to do the work of an evangelist, just as He had talked to Timothy. He did that. The Baptists, the Methodists, the Catholics, the Pentecostals, they did not know how he baptized believers, because he had been instructed to do the work of an evangelist. But then, when you get to along about 1958, God began to turn. He was not going to let that generation get by with going on like they were, just going to meetings to see a healing. That is about all most of them went to the meetings for. Preachers lined up, had their tents set up, and the people came by the droves into their tents. Then along about 1958, God spoke to His man, it is time to change: preach serpent seed. The only message that makes any sense in that line. We had a chance to be mad, or we had a chance to be glad. Some of us, when we first heard it, it made us mad until we had heard the entire message, but if you were predestinated, you got it right. You heard those big name preachers that had their tents, and had their big ministries, but now they are going off into all these different ideas, and money becomes more important than the message. I went to hear one of the big name preachers in 1966, I went to hear his message. By the time he came out, I did not know who he was, because there had already been three preachers that preached, and every one of them took up an offering. Then he gets up and speaks fifteen minutes, and said, now it is time to pray for the sick, but whenever I pray for the sick, I want everybody that comes up front to give me a hundred dollars. If you want healing, you come and give me a hundred dollars. He had seventeen people out of about a thousand that came forward, because that is probably all they had left after they had already given to the others. He said, now if you do not have the hundred dollars, you promise me you will send me the hundred dollars, but the thing about it is, if you have a hundred dollars now, you will be healed first. But as soon as you send in the hundred dollars, you will be healed. I was there. At that time, they began to have oil come out of their hands, they began to have blood come out of their hands. We were warned, stay away from that stuff. We have holy water, we have holy anointing oil, but everything is going to cost you. Bro. Jackson said when he started Faith Assembly, we will not pass an offering plate. That is why that little hole is in the wall back there. Whether to drop an offering in there is a choice for you, but we do believe in tithing. We just simply do not have to preach on tithing: true saints know what to do. This is not our main message because we have something that is going to bring some into truth. God said to Noah, the end of all flesh is come before me. What a sad picture this morning. Bro. Jackson said, concerning the bride of Christ, there will not be thousands come from America, there will be hundreds, not thousands. Brothers and sisters, as you see this thing dwindle down, what was he looking at. He was looking at the message of truth that he was preaching. He did not say, I am the only one preaching a true revelation, but he did say that he believed what he had to preach. Never have I spoken against what he taught, but we everyone know God was not going to stop revealing the truth of His Word just because His servant died. Bro. William Branham said, God can take His man, but He will not take His Spirit from us. I know many are now saying that they are following the revelation. Let me hear what God has shown you in the last seven years. Let me hear it, if you know so much. You have done exactly like the Branham move did. You are no different than that group, because you said when Bro. Jackson died, (which I never did think he would die before the rapture), but you said, when he died, that we would be showing on this screen here, Bro. Jackson preaching from Sunday to Sunday, and it has turned out that you are those who have done that. I have had Bro. Jackson’s picture up here, I have had Bro. William Branham’s picture up here, and I have not been ashamed of it. But I also have Noah up here this morning, his generation. He was perfect in his generation. It does not mean he lived as Enoch did, Noah went through the flood, a type of the foolish virgin. Enoch was translated, a type of the Bride, the seventh from Adam. We are in the seventh Church Age. There is not another Church Age coming. “For the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” Did He destroy the earth and make a new one? No. He destroyed all the things that man had done to defile the earth. So will He do again, with fire this time. “Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.” In the 8th chapter and 20th verse, after the flood was over and Noah had seen that the water had dried up, He had seen all the carcases, the rotted corpses that lay throughout this earth, some of them to be buried until the resurrection at the second death. Because they did not have any life in them. Noah had life in himself and God saved him. You have a part of Jesus Christ in you. The Bible says we are buried with Him. It says in the 5th chapter of the book of Ephesians, He is bone of our bone and we are bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. Because we have accepted Him and we are Bride people. After the flood was over, it says, “And Noah builded an alter unto the Lord; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.” Noah took one of every one of them, that is why, when God provided, He said, take seven clean animals, seven clean birds. But He said of the other type, only have two to propagate the earth. What is he going to do? He still has three pairs. When he took one of every kind, he took the seventh of each one of them, bird and beast, and he put them there on the fire, offered them unto God. God smelled it. “And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; (The ground had been cursed, but I will not curse the ground any more for man’s sake.) for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. (Now this next verse is the message I preached.) While the earth remaineth, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” As long as this earth stands, it will be like that. I just touched the fringe of this message. In later dates I will get into the heart of it and let us see what grace really is.

WHEN GOD TAKES
CONTROL

I preached as a background this morning, as it was in the days of Noah, to let you know that Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord and that is the only thing that we can look for in this hour, is that grace of God that passes all our understanding. It goes a long way beyond what my finite mind will register, but I know it is truth. I remember many years ago, nearly fifty one years ago, I was a preacher in the Methodist Church, in a little place called Sugar Grove, down near Burkesville, Kentucky, I had come to a place in my life, it was either surrender it all or give up the ministry. I got up by the grace of God and stood before the people to tell them that. God cut my feet out from under me while I was standing there, and I had no more control of myself. There just happened to be a bench behind me and He threw me down on that bench. I had no more control over myself than anything. Do not try to tell me God cannot do that to you. I am persuaded that we are going to see something from here on out, things that do not just occur every day, but it is going to require something on our part also. The hardest thing that we could ever think to do, and that is to surrender everything to God. I remember when WW2 was over, General Patton met on a ship near Japan with Hirohito, you could see the reluctance that Hirohito showed in signing that peace treaty, but he had to do it. It was not something he wanted to do, because he hated America, but it was all their fault. We did not put the first attack on Japan. I know a lot of apologies have gone on in the last number of years, but it was not the U.S.A. that attacked Japan first. Whenever it came down to the end of the war, they had been very brutal unto our captured people. They had starved them, put them in cages and who knows what else they did. But when he had to sign this treaty, that showed who the victors were. We have in our days of sin, lived our lives the way we wanted to. But Bro. Bud, we have heard you tell your testimony how God met with you. Others have told their testimony of how God met with them. It had to be a complete surrender. You cannot say I will hold back on this, or I will hold back on that. The love that you have for your companion or the love for your children, could never be allowed to get in the way of that surrender. Ever since I began to study on this, from Friday on, there has been a heaviness about me, that we are going to see something done in our midst. I believe before these messages are over, that somebody is going to say yes to the Lord. It is going to make a difference in your life. We can get in a religious rut. It does not mean that you have not had an experience with God, but we can get in a religious rut, where we come to church and do our little prayer, our little scriptural reading and we feel secure in that. But what I read in the Bible and what I read in Paul’s writing in chapter 8 of Romans, is talking about a spiritual walk with the Lord. That walk is in the Spirit. I do not mean to point anybody out, because I would have to point myself out also. I will not mention his name, and I have all the confidence in the world of him, as my brother, but about a month ago he was telling Bro. Bud and me, that many times a day I have to repent. He knows who he is. Many times a day I tell the Lord I am sorry because I maybe thought something about a brother or sister, or spilled something in the floor and got aggravated: I immediately ask my heavenly Father to forgive me, because I do not want to be like that. We are so close to the end we need to keep everything right. God has been good to all of us. He has watched over me many times in my ignorance, especially on the highway and in different places. I thank Him for it tonight. These thoughts are not just something that is happening now: it all began to pull on me when I began to really study for this message Friday, just to think about the grace of God, how gracious He is unto us. It said that He gave us a right to the tree of life. Nobody can knock you out of that, it is a right that we have. We cannot just dismiss it. We cannot dismiss the pull of God on us. David said, as the heart thirsts for the water brook, so do I thirst for God. Some of us may have to change some of our every day actions, some of our doings. But there is going to be a testimony come out of this. The thing about it is, Faith Assembly, if we are going anywhere, if we are looking forward to a rapture, we are going to have to bear fruit. That fruit I am talking about, you will find it in the book of Galatians. As Paul is ending the chapter, I believe it is chapter 5, he tells all these things there, he gives a list of things that will keep you from God. He said that those guilty of these things cannot inherit the kingdom of God. But then he gives a list of things that fruit bearers will bear, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, patience, meekness. He is talking about Law and Grace there and he said, there is no law against this: it is all pleasing to God. It is not something we manufacture: it is not something that we can go out and buy, like food and put by somebody’s door and dismiss it. Brothers and sisters, it is something that will stick with us, like meat on a bone, because it is all a part of a life that is dedicated to God. It will stick with us. Nothing else will take the place of this fruit of the Spirit. My brothers and sisters know what I am talking about. I remember when Bro. David Spurlock testified, how he testified, and I remember that he said they could not have any children. But I also remember when he and his wife came to Faith Assembly and they gave their hearts to the Lord. God has given them two wonderful daughters. You did not inherit anything by coming to Faith Assembly. You inherited it by coming to the Lord. It is by the grace of God that you are here. By the grace of God I am here. I could have been stuck down there some place, if I had refused to follow God and stayed in the Methodist Church system. They would have had me retired by now. This church world of religion out here is not doing anybody any good. They are fooling people. I was looking in the Bible at Noah this morning, as a man that stands out for what God did for him. Because it said that Noah found grace with God. He was perfect in his generations, not just one year or two years, but he was perfect in his generations. Am I speaking of something that cannot be reached? Absolutely not! Some of you sisters tonight, as I look over the congregation, I have all the confidence in the world in you, because you have proven yourselves. I am going to turn to Hebrews tonight, chapter 11, verse 8. I am going to be talking about Abraham, another Bible character that really had to be by election, and that by God’s foreknowledge, in order to turn out as it did.

HOW GOD MOVES TO
ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL

Mesopotamia was a place that really was close to the place where man was first put upon this earth, close to the place of the Garden of Eden. There they built the tower of Babel. Because they wanted to build a tower that would reach above any flood, because they did not believe what God had said, we will build a tower to reach into heaven. That was because they did not believe in God any longer. That is only the grandson of Noah that began to do this. How quick people forget. But when Bro. Jackson’s funeral was here that day and I read the scripture about Solomon, I determined then, that nothing would get in the way of the truth. I said Faith Assembly will not become a museum. I want to go back to Enoch though, in the 5th verse. “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found.” Somebody looked for that man, nobody wanted to follow him, but they believed he was a good man. No doubt in my mind, when that day comes that the Bride of Jesus Christ leaves here, there will be somebody looking for some that are no longer around. The light has left, when the Bride leaves, because the light that has left was just for the Gentiles. The reason I believe that, is because it says that Enoch was not found. Then when Elijah went off the scene, we find that the sons of the prophets, which should have known better, but they shamed that old man Elisha, to where they said, let us look for him, perhaps God has cast him upon some mountain somewhere. He said, don’t go. They left anyway and were gone three days, then they came back and said, we did not find him. Did not I tell you so? This thing can just go so far and it is then going to leave, because the Bible says the Bride hath made herself ready. It is all in the grace of God that we make ourselves ready, it is not that we have formed some kind of click, or some kind of going away party. But it is because we have found grace in the eyes of the Lord. When you do that, the Holy Ghost so builds up in you, that the ground cannot hold you. But as I read there in Revelation, the 8th chapter, where it says there, that the seventh seal is opened. Then after that the trumpets are mentioned, then after that we find that the prayers of the saints is reaching into heaven, as a sweet smelling savor. As we read about Noah this morning in the 8th chapter, that sweet smelling savor, something that God accepts because He accepted Noah there. It was through the offerings of Abraham, that God came down and brought a great darkness upon him. Bro. Jackson said that Abraham died there, and that God brought him back to life after that deep darkness fell upon him. Some may say, well I don’t remember that. There is a lot that people do not remember. There is a lot that Bro. Jackson said and that Bro. William Branham said, that people do not remember, because they are looking at every word so closely to see where somebody has said something wrong, they miss what could help them. By faith, we have these great expectations, because faith is kinship with grace, with hope. All these things are a privilege to the saints of God. We did not earn any of them, we did not earn faith, it was given to us. We did not earn election, it was given to us because God, in eons of time back before this world was first created, saw the end from the beginning. He saw this little Assembly here tonight. I hope before this message is over, that everyone that comes in the door of Faith Assembly will begin to get hold of the message instead of just thinking it is a message. The message is the Word. Enoch was translated, by faith. He was translated that he should not see death. “And was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation (that is three times it is mentioned) he had this testimony that he pleased God.” When he offered up his offerings, God looked down upon the scene and accepted every offering that he offered, but our offering is already offered tonight. It is not by works. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him; (that is God) for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, (That is one thing, he that comes to God must believe that He is. Not only that, but that He is a rewarder.) and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” This is not a message or a word to play with. It is what we hear, what we begin to diligently seek after. Do you know why God is speaking to these little children? It is because they believe. Verse 8, “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” That was all leadership. He came out of Mesopotamia, Ur of the Chaldees, he comes over to Haran, which is the top part of Assyria, next to the Euphrates. That is where he comes to. His dad goes along with him to there, and his brother Laban, goes along with him to there. His nephew Lot goes with him to there also. But for some reason, the rest of them did not have the revelation. You can just go so far when you do not have a revelation, and that is what people have done in this message: they did not have a revelation. They heard a message, but they did not have a revelation. Why? Because God had not spoken to them. God spoke to Abraham and told him, go to a place that I will show you. That is not much to go on, but Abraham went. It was enough for him. We have had enough to go from one place to another. That is how faith works: the Bible says, from faith to faith. We are not going on this journey alone. Jesus said, I will be with you and I will be in you even unto the end of the world. Or the end of the age. What happened to Abraham? By faith Abraham, when he was called, see, there must be a deep in here to respond to that deep that is calling. There must be something there that hears God. There must be an answer to God’s call.

WHEN GOD CALLS
WE MUST ANSWER

When we get to that place, God will break down all barriers. There is nothing that can hold you back. Jealousy will not do it. Our little whims or thoughts, or things of that nature will not do it. God is going to break down all these things. The battle of the mind was something Bro. William Branham preached about, “The Greatest Battle That Was Ever Fought.” I remember him telling about this Indian that had talked to him. He said, Bro. William Branham, I feel like inside me there are two dogs fighting, one black and one white. Brother Branham asked him, which one is winning? His answer was, the one that I feed the most. I am not speaking to people that do not know truth tonight, but I am speaking to people that are on a journey, and we must make this journey sure. We cannot follow this according to mom or dad, or someone else, because they may not be willing to go far enough. Flesh always gets in the way of the spirit. I am talking about human flesh. God did not determine to perfect our human flesh, He came to perfect a spirit inside of us, then the spirit will direct the flesh. Abraham was told to walk through a land in which he would later receive for an inheritance, and he obeyed God. The time Samuel came to Saul, when Saul had kept back sheep and cattle: he had told him to get rid of all of them, don’t keep man or woman, beast nor child alive, kill everything. Some might think, oh God would not do that? You will see, He will do it again. He is going to mow this old world down and I do not want to get in the way of His mowing machine. I certainly hope none of you think I am preaching this too hard, because I am just expressing the Word of God. “By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles (which were tents) with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.” It is not going to get any easier for the heirs than it was for the main one. They are going to have to accept the same thing that Abraham accepted by faith. We see that when it came down to his grandson, Jacob, he went the last mile. He was protected by mama. Esau was a burly man, he could have beat Jacob into a pulp at any time. Jacob did not have enough in him to stand against anything physically. Jacob stayed around mama. Mama had a word for him, and daddy did not. It required deceit for him to be able to find his place. First of all he obtained the birthright, which was supposed to belong to the first born Esau. The next thing he does, he gets the blessing that was supposed to belong to Esau. Why? God ordained it that way: He said to their mother, when there was a struggle inside her before they were ever born. God said, Jacob I love and Esau I hate. He hates that unbelief. He sold his birthright for a mess of pottage. He thought he was going to die of starvation. They say there was some malnutrition or something in Esau, the reason he felt like he was going to die. There was a malnutrition alright, of something. These preachers make some kind of excuse for everything. I even heard one say not too long ago, that when Jesus was betrayed of Judas, Judas repented himself and went out and hung himself. This preacher said, if he had not hung himself, God would have forgiven him. How can these people keep their jobs? Any little child in here knows better than that, because you have been taught better. Jesus said, Judas, it would have been better if you had never been born. That kind of excuse for everything wrong, is what the gospel has become in America today, some wishy washy something and nobody ever stands up against it. The next preacher on television will not dare to say a word about it. They think, I don’t know, maybe he is right. Esau did not have malnutrition, he had mal-sin in him, unbelief.

ARE WE LOOKING FOR
WHAT ABRAHAM WAS?

When we think about Abraham, look what the Bible says about him. “For he looked for a city which hath foundations, (He knew there was no place down here that was going to satisfy him. He was looking for something better. Are you looking for something better tonight? Are you looking for a dwelling place here, or a dwelling place there? If you are looking for a dwelling place here, and a mansion, you have your sights set mighty low. I am not looking for it because I am worthy: I am looking for it because it is a promise from the Word of God. Abraham did not look for that place because he was worthy, he looked for it because he believed what God said. Do you believe what God says in this hour of time? If we do, we should be looking for a city which has foundations. None of them here have foundations, every one of them are going to fall. The Bible says they will. If these modern day preachers preach about the rapture, they are talking about pilots leaving the planes and the graves are going to be opened up, the graveyards will be opened up and all this, trains will leave their tracks. They have everybody included in the rapture. Why would we even preach the gospel if everybody they include in the rapture is going to be in it? They include all the Al Capone’s and all these politicians and deceivers. If everybody is going to be in it, I don’t want to be there, because I know I have to live right while here, in order to be there where so many talk about. I do not want to live it again. Like Abraham, we should be looking for a city which hath foundations.) whose builder and maker is God.” That shows me he was looking up. Can we get our eyes off our problems long enough to look up? The Bible says for us to look up. When you see these things begin to come to pass, not when you see them come to pass, but when you begin to see them come to pass, look up, lift up your head, your redemption is drawing nigh. I believe some of these young people are beginning to look up, as well as the older ones. “Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, (I know the Branham move will hate me for this, her body was not changed back to a young woman, because it said she received strength to conceive seed.) and was delivered of a child when she was past age, (That does not mean she was brought back to a young woman. God is a God of miracles. How could anything like this be? The thing which God did to Mary, which was a virgin, is questioned by many. That is a great mystery to many, that a virgin could have a baby, but it happened. It was promised only one time. Only one time did it happened. Not like these young people today who claim to be virgins after they have run around with everything, then they come back and say, well I am still a virgin.) because she judged him faithful who had promised. Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.” I heard somebody say the other day, the Jewish nation in the Middle East is the only nation that can trace their beginning back three thousand years. The Syrians are a different people. The Lebanese are, all these others are, that are all around, but there are no Palestinians living. Those who are called Palestinians are Arabs. That is just a name given to them, and they think they can sneak in there and take land that God gave to Abraham’s seed. If I was not looking at this through faith, I would say that Israel is down for the count. The United States is sending all these rockets to Saudi Arabia, and these countries over there, sending all those airplanes over there. Israel is surrounded. God said He would take an old man, an old crippled man, make him as David, and the house of David as God, and the angel of the Lord before them. You and God are a majority in this hour. “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them; and embraced them, (Just as a little child, they embraced them, this is mine, you cannot take it from me, it is mine, it is my promise.) and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.” Do we feel that way tonight? Having seen promises afar off, and we are persuaded of them and embrace them and confess that we are strangers and pilgrims on the earth? “For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” If they had been mindful of it. Abraham just put it behind him. This no longer exists, the old life that I lived no longer exists, the old man that I was no longer exists. We have to come to that conclusion, because that old man is corrupt. “But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly; (People will tell you, don’t get too heavenly minded, or you will be no earthly benefit. That is kind of hard to see in people anymore. Those who say that, just want to take your mind away from the Spirit of God. Anybody that will tell you, let up a little bit, it is not that serious, the end time is not that close, are like the apostle Peter, so just say as Jesus did, Get behind me Satan! You may think, I should not say that. Well Jesus said it to Peter, or to that spirit that caused Peter to say what he said. What a statement.) wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: (When I read in the 2nd chapter of Hebrews where Jesus called us His brethren, said He was not ashamed, but here it says that God is not ashamed to be called their God.) for He hath prepared for them a city.” That city you are looking for, that new Jerusalem, the only thing it takes to complete that city is when we get there. I read where it says that city is the Bride of Christ. So when that resurrection takes place and you finish that marriage supper to prepare for that great event that is to come, to come back to rule and reign over the earth, and I mean rule and reign. Then you have completed the city, and it is time for it to come down to rule and reign over this earth. That city is going to be something else, something a lot of people cannot comprehend. The Bible explains it that way. It is going to be something else, beyond what the natural mind can understand. You are not going to be sitting out here on a stump, drinking out of a dry mud hole. I had a purpose in saying a dry mud hole, because there is no such thing, and there is no such thing as the Bride ruling over a bunch of stumps or something like that. You are going to rule over the mortal people that are alive on the earth. That rule is going to be by the Bride saints, causing the mortal people to do what is right. As kings, if they will not listen, then you become their judge. There will not be any jury. “By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac; and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son.” Well, I thought he had several sons. Yes, but no other son of promise. This was the only son of promise he had. “Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.” Abraham did not let anybody know what he was going to do. He would have been committed to you know where, if there had been such a place, and if he would have told Sarah what was going to happen, they would have hog tied him. This was the only son she ever had, the only son she would ever have. He was mama’s boy. God had spoken such a strange thing concerning what he was to do to his son, but he believed that God was able to raise him up even from the dead. I believe He would have too, but it did not come down to that, in a figure it did, because he had to do that in order to show what God was going to do unto His own Son. The difference was, God carried it all the way through. I remember what Bro. Jackson said about this, and people have tried to explain this in that way, and everything else they have tried to explain away, but I remember in studying this, about John 17:11. Bro. Jackson said that Jesus was three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, and He began with his trial. Is there an answer to that? The 11th verse of John 17 will tell you. “And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.” As we are. I am no more in this world, He had already surrendered unto death in the garden. Then His cruel trial begins, from that point on there was no pleading for life in Jesus, because He went there as one dead. When they tried to catch Him before, He just walked out of their midst, because He said, my time has not yet come. Now His time has come, and He said, I am no longer in this world. When the Bible says, it is appointed unto man once to die, then after that the judgment, Jesus was appointed unto death when He came into this world. When John looked at Him and said, behold the Lamb of God, He was God’s Lamb for slaughter, and He was slaughtered. They had nearly beat the life out of Him, then they placed that crown of thorns on His head until His head swelled twice as big as it should have been, because those thorns were poisonous. They ripped His body until His inwards gushed out. They ripped his body until His bones stared at him. They went ahead to mock him and pull his beard out from His face. That was for us, so we would not have to go through it. By grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Go back to Hebrews for just a minute. It tells what all these brothers and sisters went through. In the 37th verse it says, “They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; Of whom the world was not worthy; (We can live a life of such commitment to God, that the world is not worthy of us. I believe we are getting there. It says in Revelation 19, the Bride hath made herself ready, or His wife hath made herself ready. Right here is our position of readiness.) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: (Why?) God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.” We are the missing link of perfection. It takes every link in that chain in order to fulfill the end of it all, because we are the hook on the other end of it, that hooks the whole thing together. The revelation that God has given us, and has given to us in times past, the revelation that is ours, is perfecting us. God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. He is the author and the finisher of our faith; and our destiny is in His hands.

STANDING AT A POINT
OF COMMITMENT

As I continue on with this subject, I want to take a road that I believe will free some people, so that they will be able to accept the kind of life that Christ has made available to them. Then they will be able to accept something that is satisfying to their soul’s. I believe with all my heart, like as I was praying just now, there are some that are carrying loads they do not know what to do with. I am speaking of people in here, as well as to others that are watching and listening today wherever you may be. We are not just probing in the dark, hoping for something of understanding. The apostle Paul said the Spirit would search for the deep things of God. Sometimes those deep things run into peoples’ lives. God means for us to be free from the guilt and condemnation that the devil would place upon us.

GETTING REAL

This word I speak to you is an old word, but I want to go into it to see what it really means to us in the hour we are living in. I feel that the church world is playing around and that they are looking to things that really do not have anything to do with the Word of God, but just their own feelings. These big name preachers are promoting themselves to be something and they are letting the world know what they believe. I heard this morning that Oprah had jumped on Joel Olstein, wondering where he was getting all his money. I thought then, girl, you have no business jumping on anybody. I am not a fan of Joel Olstein, but I am not a fan of Oprah either. I could wonder where she got all her money. People do things to other people trying to keep themselves from feeling so guilty. Brothers and Sisters: it is not going to be that way with the Church of the living God. We are getting ready for a rapture. It is going to take all our being in order to make it. We are not going to be able to hook onto someone else or ride someone’s coat tail, in order to make it through. It has got to be our own experience with God and God alone. I know that we could have good parents, good Christian parents, but good Christian parents are not going to take us through, we are going to have to be that person ourselves, that meets God and that lays our life upon the cross of Jesus Christ. He is our only foundation. I remember Bro. William Branham making the statement that God showed him something; and he said God told him that all that you love and all that love you, I give to you. People began to depend on that without really knowing what he meant. Because Jesus’ statement was, if you love me, keep my commandments. Jesus did not leave a book of commandments for us to go by, but He said it is fulfilled in one word, thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. We cannot love just on natural love, it must be something that is implanted within our heart by an experience with God Himself. If God is our Father, then we have to be entwined with Him. What I mean by that is that we must have an experience that Jesus spoke about unto Nicodemus. This attitude that we can stand at church and we can give a testimony, and we can cry and get everybody to cry with us, is not sufficient, if our life does not measure up to it when we are out here in the world. This message has got close to me and I believe it is going to get close to you. Because each one of us, I could ask you, who of you wants to make it in the rapture, and every hand would go up. I could turn around and ask you, are you ready this morning? That is more serious than us saying that we want to make it in the rapture. That is where this Grace message is going. I myself cannot take you anywhere, spiritually speaking. I can only show you truth from this precious old book, which is what I endeavor to do, and with all my heart I have done my best. Forget about all the critics: they have nothing to do with it. They have nothing to do with this message. To me, if a person comes in here and never says a word, but they come in and take their place in the family of God, to me, that is more important than any testimony you could ever give, if it does not have a meaning to it. I am not speaking against anybody that has testified. I will never say, do not testify, I am not saying that. But I want us to know what we are talking about and to know it down in our hearts. I do not want to fool you, and for sure I am not fooling God. He is the one that counts when we come to the end of it all. This little word, grace, people have named their children that. But it is more than just a name, it is God’s unmerited favor toward us. The thing about it is, like I said last Sunday, when Japan surrendered to the United States, that great general, which is what the generals should try to attain to again, General MacArthur, stood on that boat. He signed that treaty with Hirohito, you could see the scrawl on the face of Hirohito, because he had been defeated and he knew it, but he had thought he could never be defeated. They just about over ran China, if it had not been for our troops there that held that pass, forty five hundred of our U.S. troops held a pass there to keep the Japanese army from going into China. Japan would have taken China. But here is a man that did not listen. There were warnings that went out before they ever dropped a bomb. One airplane went over and dropped leaflets, telling people to get out of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That one plane did not amount to anything, but it had a warning for them. The warning was, there is going to be a bomb dropped here, an atom bomb, you are not safe. Oh, that was just one plane, just one warning, that don’t really mean anything, we will go on with our daily lives. But then a day or two later, it was too late. I am not trying to make something too hard, but I am saying the grace of God is looking right into our lives this morning. It is a decision that we must make, if we are going to make it to glory. I am not trying to make anything hard. Jesus told Nicodemas, you must be born again, he did not understand it: it was not time. There are people that are going through hard trials and tests this morning. I feel for you. I rejoice with you when you rejoice, but I weep with you when you weep. When I went to see Sis. Elinor yesterday I did not see a woman weeping, I saw a woman that had victory after an operation the day before. When I was there, they had already taken the IV off for pain medicine. She said Bro. Allen, I am in a little pain, but not much. I said sister, we prayed for you Thursday night, I felt to have the church come and pray for you, and also for others. Let us get serious with this thing. These are our brothers and sisters and they are part of our body, just like your arm is a part of your body. Every joint supplies. I know I have not read any scriptures yet, but I have them here, that I will read. I did say something about the 3rd chapter of John, about Nicodemus. That man was bumfuzzled when Jesus said what he did to him. He thought that he was going to be able to prop up this man and was going to get some kind of promotion from him. But he went to him at night because he did not want to be seen. The Church of the living God is going to be seen before it leaves here. There are some people that are going to be missed when they leave here. I want to be one of those people that somebody misses. But it all comes because of election, and I am not talking about Democrat and Republican elections, I am talking about the election of God by His great foreknowledge. Does this mean more to us than that election that will come next fall? Does this mean more to us than our job, or our house, or whatever? My desire is to live this sanctified life and be ready. My desire is not just to be a part of Faith Assembly, somebody that somebody recognizes as being pastor of Faith Assembly. It is more than being pastor of Faith Assembly. The important thing is, are we acquainted with Him? Is He our Father? Have we been born of His Spirit? Is His Spirit abiding in us? I am not saying these things to make anyone feel uneasy or feel something that you should not feel. I am not trying to make people feel guilty, but I am trying to say we have an obligation not only to speak of Him, but to know Him. The just shall live by faith. That means every day, at all times, at all places. Do not say I will try to measure up, it is not that. It is a life that must be lived, that is what it is. Paul said the life I live, I now live for Christ. I know I still have not read any scripture. But I was thinking about some things, thinking about some people that have had a deep experience with God in their life. We sing the song, Do You Know How It Feels? The Spirit of God does something different in each one of our lives
